My two best friends and I had this conversation the other day, and this is what we came up with:
When a guy is not living up to his masculine expectations, people may call him a pansy. This is probably because pansies are delicate feminine flowers.
However, pansies are incredibly resilient flowers. They last for months and even survive freezes and snowfall.
Now a Crocus, on the other hand, blooms in late winter or early spring, making it one of the first flowers to bloom, but it dies off very early. It has a really sort life span.
So if a guy is ever wimping out, instead of calling him a pansy (because he is acting feminine) I say you call him a crocus.
Because they come early and don’t last long.
He’s just creepy. If I saw him in public, I would definitely hide my purse … and my virginity.
